When Jon
met Jim.
After more than a decade away from the spotlight Jon was a tad wary of this ‘super fan’ offering to fund his return to music.
However, Jon and Jim became trusted friends and enjoyed making fresh, contemporary music without focussing on success or stardom. Art for arts sake.
Through this ‘free flowing’ approach, a love of similar music and eastern philosophy the artist and entrepreneur have evolved the project in to something extraordinary.
Effortless action has guided Jon and Jim this far, and by collaborating with other like minded folk – it continues to flow in the right direction.
What is WU WEI?
“Wu Wei” is a concept derived from Taoism, an ancient Chinese philosophical and spiritual tradition. It can be translated as “non-action” or “effortless action.”
Wu Wei is not about inaction or doing nothing; instead, it suggests a state of being in which one is aligned with the natural flow of the universe, acting effortlessly and spontaneously without unnecessary striving or resistance.
Wu Wei emphasises the importance of acting in a manner that is effortless, intuitive, and in harmony with the present moment.
Wu Wei is the perfect reminder of what creativity and collaboration is really about. And thats why it’s in our name!

Accomplished musician, Jon has had his own music played across BBC radio stations 1 to 6. With live sessions on Mark Radcliffe and Giles Peterson shows. Jons new album WU WEI was the catalyst to creating WU WEI stories, he’s studied Philosophy for over a decade, become a deft AI artist and is the main person behind the artistic output and running of the business.

From a single desk on London’s Brick Lane, Jim grew his first media company to 200 staff , before selling it in 2018. He’s now an investor in numerous digital marketing companies and brings lots of passion and marketing wisdom. plus he’s a big fan of ambient-folk music.

Passionate about technology, Sam has been coding since he was 8 years old and built his first PC at 12. His IT career has involved senior architect roles at IBM, Microsoft and GitHub. Sam’s job is to help us build and deliver globally successful audience channels.
